Designing both the design and the name of the masthead was sort of difficult. Since my magazine is about addictions and it is mostly towards teenagers I wanted to have a catchy name that would be remembered. I also wanted a name that would relate to the issues discussed in the magazine. I tried out a few names for the masthead and a few fonts with different compositions with the letters. I tried with a few as seen below: hooked, grave, hang-up and fixated which i thought would relate to addictions because when you are addicted you are sort of hooked since its hard to stop when you've started.
The only one on the list above that I ended up liking was cash kids I thought that that would be a perfect name for a magazine since its supposed to attract teenagers and both cigarettes and alcohol costs money and if you are addicted to something you would need "a lot" of it and that means spending a lot of money.
The last design on the paper above I actually drew by myself in my notebook and I talked to my teacher to put it as the masthead on my magazine cover, so she helped me transform it in Adobe illustrator so that I would be able to put it on the computer. And transform it into a text that i would be able to put on my magazine cover.
